Easy Order Process at Ark Industries
Step 1: Choose Product
Choose your preferred apparel item. Depending on your logo/artwork, our Sales Managers will present you with recommended embellishment options.
Step 2: Confirm Visual and Quote
Our design team will create a visual mockup (logos/artwork on apparel) for your approval before sampling begins. Endorsement of the quote is required to proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Confirm Sample
The sample process differs from order to order . Typically, a sample will be shown to our clients for approval before bulk production commences.
Step 4: Production Commences
Once the Pre-Production Sample (PPS) is approved by you & admin processes are complete, bulk production will commence. Orders will be checked & packed by our Quality Control team before the goods are ready for delivery or self-collection.
T shirt Designs
Our in-house design team is able to work with customers to create artwork, as well as assist in the preparation of artwork to be print-ready. In some cases, a trace of a flattened artwork is needed in order to separate the colours and shapes for t shirt printing.
Depending on the complexity of the artwork such as fine lines, it could take a designer a few minutes or a couple of hours to make the artwork print-ready. Our design team’s services may be chargeable. A quote will be provided by our Sales Managers.

Types of T-shirt Printing Methods in Singapore
Depending on the details of the logos and artwork, our Sales Managers will recommend the most suitable printing method for your tshirt printing order. Print details such as print size, number of colours and complexity of logo or artwork details, will affect the choice of tshirt printing method.
Additionally, the order quantity and due date are also factors in determining the tshirt printing method.
Direct-to-Film (DTF) Prints
The artwork is printed onto a special transfer film using a Direct to Film (DTF) printer. DTF printers use water-based inks, CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) and white for enhanced opacity and brightness.
After printing, a powder adhesive is applied to the wet ink on the film. This powder helps the ink stick to the tshirt during the transfer process. The film with the powder is passed through a heat press or curing unit to melt the adhesive powder. This step ensures that the adhesive bonds with the ink and is ready for transfer.
The film is placed on the t-shirt and subjected to heat and pressure using a heat press. The heat and pressure cause the ink and adhesive to transfer from the film to the material. After the transfer process, the film is carefully peeled away, leaving the design on the tshirt.
Super Soft Hand Feel: DTF printing uses water-based inks, which are generally softer and more flexible compared to plastisol inks used in some other printing methods. These inks integrate well with the fabric, resulting in a print that feels softer to the touch.
Thin Film Layer: Unlike some printing methods that use thick layers of ink, DTF prints typically have a relatively thin layer of ink and adhesive. This minimal build-up ensures that the print does not create a heavy or stiff feel on the fabric.
Vibrant Colors: DTF printing produces bright and vivid colors, making it ideal for detailed and colorful designs.
Wash Resistance: DTF prints are durable and typically withstand multiple washes without significant fading or peeling.
Elasticity: DTF prints are designed to be flexible and stretchable. The combination of the water-based ink and the adhesive allows the print to stretch with the fabric, maintaining a soft feel even when the garment is worn or stretched.
DTF Prints: Artwork is printed on plastic films before heat pressed onto garments.

Digital Prints
Once your design is ready, we use our Roland VersaCAMM printer. This machine is a real powerhouse—it not only prints your design with vibrant, long-lasting colors but also cuts it precisely. We load a special vinyl into the VersaCAMM, and it prints and cuts your design in one go.
After printing and cutting, we carefully remove the excess vinyl, leaving only your design. This step is called “weeding,” and it ensures that only your custom design is left for transfer.
To make sure your design transfers smoothly onto the t-shirt, we place a layer of transfer tape over it. This tape helps lift your design from the backing and position it correctly on the shirt.
Next, we use a heat press to transfer the design onto the t-shirt. The heat press applies the right amount of heat and pressure to ensure that your design adheres securely. After pressing, we carefully peel off the transfer tape to reveal your finished design.
After the design is transferred, we inspect everything to make sure it’s perfect. We also provide you with care instructions to help keep your custom t-shirt looking great for a long time.

Vinyl Prints
First, we start with your design. Whether it’s a logo, graphic, or text, we’ll create it in a digital format using graphic design software. This step ensures that your design is crisp and clear.
Select the Vinyl: We choose high-quality vinyl that’s suitable for T-shirt application. There are various types of vinyl, such as matte, glossy, or glitter, depending on your preference.
Load the Vinyl: We then load the vinyl onto our Graphtec plotter. This involves positioning it correctly to ensure precise cutting.
Set Up the Plotter: Our team adjusts the plotter’s settings, including the blade depth and cutting speed, to match the type of vinyl we’re using.
Cut the Design: We send the design to the plotter, which uses a sharp blade to cut out your design from the vinyl. This step ensures that the design will be perfectly shaped and ready for transfer.
Remove Excess Material: Once the cutting is complete, we carefully remove the unwanted parts of the vinyl. This process is known as “weeding.” It leaves only the design that will be transferred onto the T-shirt.
Transfer Preparation: With the design weeded, we prepare it for transfer by aligning it on a T-shirt. We use a heat press to apply the vinyl to the shirt, ensuring that the design adheres perfectly and lasts through many washes.
Apply the Design: Using our heat press machine, we apply heat and pressure to transfer the vinyl onto the T-shirt. This step ensures that the design is firmly adhered and durable.
Variety of Vinyl Colors: Vinyl prints are great for single colour logos and artwork. You can choose from different colors of vinyl.
Long-Lasting: Vinyl heat pressing produces designs that are durable and resistant to wear and tear. The design adheres strongly to the fabric and can withstand numerous washes without fading or peeling.
Quicker Turnaround: Compared to other methods like screen printing, vinyl heat pressing can be faster, especially for smaller orders or one-off designs.
Personalization Options: You can easily personalize shirts with names, numbers, or custom messages. This is particularly useful for sports teams, events, or individual gifts.
Flexibility for Small Orders: Vinyl heat pressing doesn’t require minimum order quantities, making it perfect for personalized or small batch orders.
Note: We do not recommend printing small text or logos using this method of t-shirt printing. The adhesive surface of the small text or logos may not be sufficient for them to remain pressed on fabric for a long time.
Note: Some artwork and logos which have both full-coloured and single colour graphic elements, will require both the digital print and vinyl print types.

Silkscreen Prints
1. Design Creation Concept and Artwork: We start with your logo, graphic, or text, we’ll create or refine it in a digital format. This artwork needs to be in a vector format (like .AI or .EPS) for the best quality.
2. Preparing the Screens Screen Creation: We use your design to create screens, which are special mesh frames. Each color in your design requires a separate screen. The design is transferred onto a screen using a light-sensitive emulsion that hardens where light hits it, forming a stencil. Emulsion Coating: Screens are coated with a light-sensitive emulsion and allowed to dry in a dark environment to prepare for the design process.
3. Exposing the Screens Exposure Process: Each screen is exposed to light with your design placed on it. The areas of the emulsion that are exposed to light harden, while the areas blocked by your design remain soft and are washed away, leaving a stencil of your design on the screen.
4. Preparing the T-Shirts Garment Setup: We prepare the T-shirts for printing by placing them on a printing press. They are carefully aligned to ensure that the design is positioned correctly.
5. Printing the Design Ink Application: We use a squeegee to push ink through the screen onto the T-shirt. Each color requires its own screen and layer of ink. This process is repeated for each color in your design. Drying: After printing, the T-shirts are dried using a heat source. This step cures the ink, ensuring it adheres properly to the fabric and is durable for washing.
6. Quality Check Inspection: We thoroughly inspect each T-shirt to ensure the design is applied correctly and meets our quality standards. This includes checking for color accuracy, alignment, and any printing defects.
7. Final Touches Finishing: After the T-shirts pass quality checks, they are folded, packaged, and prepared for delivery.

3. Printing the Design Sublimation Printer: We use a special sublimation printer that prints your design onto transfer paper. The printer uses sublimation inks, which turn into a gas when heated. Transfer Paper: The design is printed onto a special sublimation transfer paper. This paper is designed to hold the sublimation ink until it is transferred to the fabric.
4. Preparing the T-Shirts Garment Selection: We use high-quality polyester T-shirts or polyester-coated items. Sublimation works best on polyester fabrics because the ink bonds with the polyester fibers. Garment Preparation: The T-shirt is prepped on a heat press. It’s important to ensure that the fabric is clean and smooth for the best transfer results.
5. Heat Transfer Pressing the Design: The transfer paper with the design is placed onto the T-shirt, and both are placed in a heat press. Cooling: After the heat press process, the transfer paper is carefully removed, and the T-shirt is allowed to cool. The design is now permanently infused into the fabric.

A Crew Neck T shirt has a round neckline and is one of the most common t-shirt styles. It sits closer to the neck compared to the regular Round Neck T shirt.
